Description

Writing for children is often misunderstood as simple but it requires precision, empathy, and an understanding of how young readers experience the world. As adults, it means being intentional: what to say, what to leave out, and how to make a story both engaging and meaningful.

Michellan Sarile-Alagao draws from her experiences as a mother, writer, and educator to guide participants in creating stories for the children in their lives. The course is focused on developing ideas, shaping narratives, and writing stories that children will understand, enjoy, and want to read again.
