Got a story in your head? Turn it into your first comic this summer. In this beginner-friendly workshop, JV Tanjuatco—founder of Comic Book Lab—invites teens and early career comic artists and writers to walk through idea generation, visual storytelling, and comic scripting.

Learn everything you need to know about comics.  Instead of just reading and drawing, you get to develop your own concept and write a short comic script. Perfect for writers, artists, and hobbyists ready to dive into the comic world and create their own space in it.

This class may be taken at PHP 1500.

JV Tanjuatco

JV Tanjuatco, comic book writer/editor/publisher, founded Comic Book Lab that publishes indie comic book titles Mythopolis and War of Whispers (co-created and co-written by him). One of Comic Book Lab’s most notable projects is the graphic novel anthology Stay: 21 Comic Stories authored by Palanca Award winner Angelo R. Lacuesta and illustrated by a stellar line-up of high profile artists including Roy Allan Martinez, John Amor, and Trese’s Kajo Baldisimo. Comic Book Lab’s most recent projects include Sanso by Thomas Patrick and Randy Valiente and Dracula Rising Sun by Juan Vista Neis and Roy Allan Martinez. Third World Power, his graphic novel with artist Jim Jimenez was selected by PICOF (Philippines International Comics Festival) as part of their first batch of comics to be published. He has also written articles/reviews for Adobo Magazine and [Spot.ph](http://spot.ph/).
